It’s time for Broccoli
Broccoli is rich in vitamin C and K, dietary fiber, minerals, antioxidants and phytochemicals that have proven health benefits to help protect against prostate, colon, urinary bladder, pancreatic, and breast cancers.
Stephanie and I are very much fond of Broccoli. Unfortunately, the kids don’t like it. We tried hard but failed to change their taste.
Whatever, this fall, we decided to grow it in our garden, which is in the back of our home. While I was busy with soil testing, adjusting the pH and nitrogen levels, developing the drainage, Stephanie brought me fresh broccoli seeds from a local vendor.
We’re very much excited with the growth so far and thought of including this in my blog. Here are some of the pictures straight from our garden. Let me know how they are.
Here are some references to know about the nutrition value of Broccoli and how to grow it in your garden. Hope they are worthy.
